
After studying the world leading religious and philosophical traditions, Thomas chose the Indian vedic philosophy, full with spiritual withdom. He felt a special attraction for India's high quality temple songs for the worship of Sri-Vishnu and Sri-Krishna.

He spent 8 years as a studying monk in Krishna temple monasteries in order to study the ancient sanskrit texts, like Bhagavad Gita, Upanishades, etc. He learnt the spiritual life in India with the aim of self and God realisation, based on Bhakti-Yoga and Hare Krishna Mahamantras und the Gayatrimatras. During this period of spiritual cultivation Thomas got the spiritual name "Trikal Das" from his Vaishnava Guru Harikesha Svami Vishnupada.
With his projet "Trikal Ashram Trust" (an Indian registered charity trust) he tries to invite and to attract equal minded and interested people to experience a spiritual and wholistic way of life. His project is intended to be a synthesis of spirituality and materialsm, while trying to avoid extremes. Trikal Ashram is a beautiful harmonious and peaceful place for well being, health and recreation.
In 1995 he founded together with his mother and friends this private charity trust which provides a pleasant environmet and adequate facilities for single travellers as well as small groups. He provides healthy and tasty vegetarian diet, yoga and mantra classes, excursions to the fascinating landscape and people of the area.
